How AIT Mechanical Got Its Start
Chris Spurlin is an Orlando native and College Park resident. He attended Lake Silver Elementary, Lee Middle School, and Edgewater High School before earning a finance degree from Florida State University. Chris spent 12 years with Hughes Supply, then pursued a number of entrepreneurial ventures — which led him to partner with Leigh Ann and Vince Horton to found AIT Mechanical in 2020.
Since then, Chris has focused on leading the AIT team around four core values: team/family, under-promise and over-deliver, quality deliverables, and quality of life for the team. The company's leadership brings decades of hands-on HVAC experience — including Mike Smith (in HVAC since 1988) and Rick Sanders (since 1987) — to every Central Florida home and business AIT serves.
That approach has earned recognition: AIT Mechanical was named Toll Brothers Vendor of the Year in both 2024 and 2025, with the awards voted on by Toll Brothers' construction team based on safety, timeliness, performance, and quality of work.
Today the team handles everything from same-day AC repair in Orlando and residential HVAC service to large-scale commercial and multifamily projects — plus year-round preventative maintenance through Duke's Comfort Club.

He joined AIT in July 2022 and brings that extensive expertise to every job, specializing in large-scale commercial projects, custom homes, and complex renovation work.
